The name doesn’t quite prepare you for the dynamic, thrusting back and forth of Cockeyed Rabbit Wrapped in Plastic. The bass gets a bit squelchy at times, but that’s as far as the similarities between sound and name stretch. Slug is Ian Black, former bass player with Field Music, with able support from Peter and David Brewis (of Field Music), Andrew Lowther and Rhys Patterson.

Cockeyed Rabbit Wrapped in Plastic is jumpy, energetic, kinetick rock, and wins, by a country mile, the award for best title of the week. What’s more it’s available completely free:
