As long as Sharon Van Etten keeps putting out wonderful tracks in advance of her fourth album later this month, I’ll keep lapping them up and posting them. Every Time The Sun Comes Up is menacing yet beautiful, Van Etten’s voice somehow sliding smoothly but forcefully through the notes while the sparse instrumentation keeps to the corners. “Every time the sun comes up… I’m in trouble” she sings with a rousing chorus behind. At the risk of setting myself up for disappointment, this does seem to be an album worth getting excited about…
