Finally, an album that would be a shoe-in if I actually sat down and attempted a truly definitive list. Released at the tail end of 1991, Bandwagonesque is technically Teenage Fanclub’s third album, but only if you count the contractual obligation album and total mess that was The King (and if you do count that, it kind of spoils a possible pun in the title of their next album, Thirteen). Not only is it a fantastic melodic rock album with a bit of grungy fuzz thrown in, it’s the album that got me into the legendary Big Star, who were a major influence on Teenage Fanclub. Win win.
