At the rate Death Cab For Cutie are throwing out promising tracks from their forthcoming album Kintsugi, I’m going to have to go back and revisit Codes and Keys, which drifted past me unable to find a mooring point on its release in 2011.
No Room In Frame follows hot on the heels of Black Sun, and while it doesn’t have that track’s shades and textures, it certainly scores high on the “Hallmark Death Cab Indicators” scale, with a gently skipping melody jagging along while Ben Gibbard delivers a trademark vocal line.
Kintsugi is out on March 31st.
