Psychedelic animal-based tomfoolery from the ever-reliable Haines, fiercely ploughing that lone furrow of his once more. Last time out he was imagining the intimate and private thoughts of 70s and 80s British wrestling stars; now those heroes are out, replaced by three animals: a fox, playing the role of Sham 69 frontman Jimmy Pursey; a badger, here representing Nick Lowe; Gene Vincent, as played by a cat. No, really.

Lucky it’s bloody brilliant, or Haines might come out of it looking a bit ridiculous. Not that he’d care in the slightest, mind.
