Moody Monday.

Melodramatic Monday?

Not many songs could work so well on soundtracks as varied as Scream, Peaky Blinders, and the irredeemably dreadful Dumb & Dumber; it’s the little bit of gothic camp that Nick Cave projects that allows “Red Right Hand” such latitude. Cave takes a phrase from Milton (by way of Horace) that refers to the vengeful hand of God, and conjures from it an all-seeing menace. Strange to think that two years after the release of Let Love In, Cave’s light would shine even darker with the deathly Murder Ballads album.
