In what’s not commonly regarded as the number one way to start your career as a synth pop and electro-indie outfit, Go Wolf formed largely by accident at a Belfast poetry night. Their debut single Voices featured on the 15th edition of Kitsune Maison’s compilation series, which in the past has included the likes of Two Door Cinema Club, Bloc Party and Foals, so we’re talking about pretty esteemed company to be keeping so soon after leaving that recital with excited talk of the future. Perhaps we should try to find out if there was any verse in particular that got things going, or a moment when eyes locked across a hushed room and their true calling revealed itself.

Perhaps we should just let them get on with creating sweet slices of melodic indie-pop coated with a swooshy sheen of 80s synthtasia. I realise as I type that I’m over-writing this: It’s all the poetry talk, which admittedly is my doing, so I have no-one but myself to blame.
