Mongolian Hunters is taken from 17th Century Japanese Aviary, the debut album from Inti Rowland. The album, on which Rowland is accompanied by a string quartet, brass and percussion, was recorded in six days in a converted chapel in the Scottish Highlands.

17th Century Japanese Aviary is out on 13th April 2015. In the meantime, pour a glass of something short and sophisticated, make yourself comfortable in that Eames chair you finally got round to spoiling yourself with, and spend a few minutes with Mongolian Hunters. You can almost hear the birds outside, circling on the drafts, and touch the memories of kneelers knelt on and lecterns leant on.

Life is good.
