Damn Vandals - Mad as Hell
It hasn’t exactly been an editorial decision to feature more new songs that could be tagged electropop and not so many that could be tagged magnificent punk fury, it’s just what the inbox sieving has turned out. As a result, it took me a couple of listens to get attuned to the ferocious Howard Beale / Pat Farrell channelling Mad as Hell, the new single from Damn Vandals, and its equally raging b-side This Music Blows My Tiny Mind: both tracks are full-on, snarling and wild-eyed from start to finish, crunching guitars and dirty bass all the way.
Mad as Hell is out on Monday 23rd February via Sexy Beast, available on CD and from iTunes or whatever your download site of choice is. The single is taken from Damn Vandals’ second album Rocket out of London.
