What makes In My Labyrinth Mind tick, what anchors the song, is a certain funkiness of groove provided by the rhythm section, aided by some psychedelic swishes and a fair helping of sax towards the end. Some really pure falsetto certainly doesn’t get in the way either. It’s like the feeling of being somewhere really cool, and yet somehow not sticking out as a square. The sensation of not using words like cool and square on a music blog in 2015, in other words.

For extra cool, the video was filmed on a Super 16mm camera by NYC-based director Lauren Rothery, who also directed the most recent Royksopp music video for Running To The Sea.
